Whew—it is scorching out today! Before you take your furry friends out for a walk, remember: if the pavement’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

Try walking early in the morning or later in the evening when the ground is cooler, and stick to grass or shaded paths if you can. Keep those pets hydrated and safe—let’s not forget they feel the heat even more than we do.
